New year, new ministry and new direction!

As 2010 comes to a close, we will be ending a long time of ministry with AMF who Julie and I have served with for over 30 years together.  We will miss our very dear AMF family and friends.  We have loved serving side by side with some of the finest and we are truly blessed by this.  We will always cherish and value our times with them.  As we look ahead, we will continue to minister with many of them as we will have the opportunity to work with them at camps across the nation this summer.

As for the new direction, we are accepted to the staff of Cadence International and will starting as short term staff with our first assignment beginning 1 February and ending 15 May of this new year.  We will be serving in Germany working with junior high and high school students of our US Military.

What a blessing it will be to serve them with you.  We will build personal relationships, lead youth groups, host retreats and do outreach trips with the students that we will be working with.  This is exactly what we have been doing since we got married!!  That is exciting for us.

You can learn more about our new mission, new ministry and new direction by checking out this blog as well as receiving email updates if you want.  Email me at jeff.shackelford@cadence.org and I will add you to our list.  We would love to have you partner with us in prayer and financial support.  Also, check out two websites that will help introduce you to our mission.  They are www.cadence.org and www.malachi.org to learn more.

Serving together to reach students for Jesus,

Shack and Julie
